Panelist FAQs

Anything you like! Though be aware that we prefer panels that relate back to anime, manga or Japanese culture, so keep that in mind. We love getting experimental panel ideas, however, so don’t be shy if you think it might fall slightly out of this scope!

Yes you can. Just be aware that multiple panels can be accepted for a single panelist, so you could have a very full weekend to plan around if everything gets accepted!

Panel submissions will be open until December 15th, 2018 or sooner if all slots are filled before then. A waiting list will be maintained in case there are any cancellations before the con.

Panels are scheduled in 1-hour time slots and most panels last for 1 hour. If you think you need more time, just say so in the application!

Of course! Co-Panelists are welcome and sometimes necessary for a given panel.

Absolutely! We welcome all levels of experience for panelists. It doesn’t matter if this is your first, or your thousandth.

It sure is! Just be sure to make note of that when filling out the application. Note that 18+ content is scheduled later in the evening, so plan accordingly.

Yes you do! Each panel gets two 3-Day Memberships to cover you and a co-panelist. Large group panels are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Each panel room is equipped with microphones, audio equipment and projectors. A 3.5mm input jack is supplied for any audio, and an HDMI cable is provided for video. Anything outside of that will need to be provided by the panelist including any adapters such as VGA/DVI, DisplayPort/Lightning, USB-C, or Thunderbolt for video.

The only requirement for running a panel is that the main panelist must be 17 or older. If you are presenting an 18+ panel, all panelists must be 18 or older.
